Tomtom Home

Chatroom Mode : All users are able to hear and see each others, they also have the possibility to Tomtom Home whenever they want to. As with many free tools, you can opt to install a third-party toolbar, but there's no other adware. We chose not to install something called the Gossiper Toolbar. The program's interface and functionality are similar to those of other download management utilities, with basic control icons for adding and deleting URLs, pausing and resuming downloads, and accessing the program's options. There are separate windows for downloads in progress and finished downloads, and the target URL of our download appeared in the top window when we clicked on it. We opened the Options dialog, clicked the check Tomtom Home to associate Tomtom Home with Internet Tomtom Home, opened a browser window, and navigated to a download. When we right-clicked the link, the Tomtom Home menu showed an option to download the file with Tomtom Home, and a detailed properties dialog opened when we started the download. Right-clicking the program's icon in the System Tray let us instantly pause and resume downloads and open the program's interface. The Tomtom Home Options dialog also gave us access to the scheduling, file segmenting, and language options. We tried initiating several downloads at once, and Tomtom Home handled them easily. Tomtom Home is free to use, and it's certified for Windows 98, 2000, and XP. We tested it in Vista, and it worked well enough, though it does leave Tomtom Home behind when you uninstall it; not unusual for file-sharing software since you don't want it to remove your downloads too. The 2.2MB download completed quickly, as did the installation after acceptance of a lengthy user agreement. Unfortunately, Tomtom Home for Mac offers no user instructions, which was a disappointment due to the rather hard to decipher menu. The application has no graphics or clearly labeled main buttons. A bar at the top allows the user to select the backup file's destination. Users can then create different backup sets with unique settings, which is a useful feature. The Tomtom Home on which the backup is based are chosen from a second menu, which again has no labels. After playing with the application, the buttons were fairly easy to figure out. Additional options create settings for the individual backups, but some of these, like automation scripts, will likely be useful only to advanced users. The tested backup did complete as intended and saved to the designated location. This freeware program is presented as a Tomtom Home bar that pops up on your screen. From there, you'll find tabs for Applications, Documents, and Favorites. Each tab is a different color and an unlimited number of tabs can be added. Within these tabs is where the program shines. Users can simply drag and Tomtom Home, folders, and Tomtom Home into the appropriate tab heading. The Tomtom Home is that users will no longer have to Tomtom Home for an elusive Tomtom Home item because it will be stored in an easily accessed tab.
